At Peoples Church you can come as you are. Ours is a worshipful space for the peaceful exchange of ideas; concentrating on our commonalities, while appreciating our differences. Located in Chicago\u2019s Uptown neighborhood, one of the most diverse communities in the US, we are a gathering place for open-minded, liberal Christians, Humanists and all others.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The Peoples Church is deeply rooted in our neighborhood. Church members and volunteers participate in community service:  everything from leading and participating in Bible Study Groups, to using their skills at a shelter, to advocacy for affordable housing issues, to marching in Chicago’s Annual Pride Parade.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Peoples Church is affiliated with both the Unitarian Universalist Association<\/a><\/b> and the United Church of Christ<\/b><\/a> denominations.  Both are non-creedal:  we don’t ask you to change your beliefs to belong, nor do we ask you to subscribe to particular religious beliefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though the language of our worship is primarily Christian, our doors are open to all who seek to know the Divine and work toward Social Justice.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
